Purportedly one of the top ten most haunted locations in the world, Edinburgh Castle in Scotland certainly has to be one of the most beautiful haunted houses! Ghostly sightings have been reported in the castle's prison, the South Bridge vaultsm and Mary's King Close, an unused street used to quarantine and entomb plague victims. In addition, ghostly dogs, a headless drummer, and prisioners taken during the French Seven Years War and the American Revolution have also been reported.
Monte Cristo, New South Wales, Australia
Another of the top ten haunted locations in the world, the Monte Cristo home in Junee, New South Wales, was the site of seven deaths in the 1800s. The Monte Cristo is referred to as Australia's most haunted mansion and is said to be very active!
The Ancient Ram Inn, Wotton-Under-Edge, Gloucestershire, England
Widely considered the most haunted place in England, the Ancient Ram Inn sits on a pagan burial ground. In existence since some time in the 13th century, the Ancient Ram Inn is the home to ghosts and even a succubus. Everything from murder, to satanism to child sacrifice, make this a must see spot for paranormal investigators. The Ancient Ram was the focus of an especially active episode of the Travel Channe's hit show, Ghost Adventures.
Bhangarh, Rajasthan, India
During the early 17th century, Madho Singh built his capital at Bhangarh. Several legends swirl about this mystical place. There is a sign at the village that warns that entering after dark or before sunrise is stictly forbidden! Those who have dared enter, report strange feelings of anxiety and restlessness.
Aokigahara, Japan a/k/a The Suicide Forest
Aokigahara or The Sea of Trees sits at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan and just might be the most haunted forest in the world! The forest is the second most popular place in the world to commit suicide. Although no exact numbers have been published recently, 100 suicide victims found just in 2003 alone. The location was featured on an episode of Destination Truth on the SyFy Channel.

Greyfriars is a cemetery in Edinburgh, Scotland that has been in continuous use since the 16th century. Another of the world's most haunted locations, visitors to Greyfriars sometimes encounter the Mackenzie Poltergiest who often leaves scratches, scrapes, and bruises as tokens of his esteem.
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, USA
One of the bloodiest battles to ever occur on American soil, Gettysburg surely left its share of ghosts. Nearly 8,000 Union and Confederate soldiers died and untold thousands injured during the battle. Since then, sounds of battle are heard, as well as moans, screams, and the sounds of terrified horses. Visitors have reported not only seeing but speaking with men they thought to be park guides in costume, only to have them disappear!
